Notas del Capítulo 08 (clasificación)
1. Este capítulo no comprende las nueces y los frutos no aptos para el consumo humano.
2. Los frutos y nueces refrigerados se clasificarán en la misma partida que los frescos correspondientes.
3. Los frutos desecados de este capítulo pueden estar parcialmente rehidratados o haber sido sometidos a tratamientos con los siguientes fines:
a) Para asegurar su conservación o estabilización (por ejemplo, por tratamiento térmico moderado, sulfuración, adición de sorbato potásico o de sorbato sódico);
b) Para mejorar o mantener su presentación (por ejemplo, adición de aceite vegetal o de pequeñas cantidades de jarabe de glucosa).
No obstante, deberán conservar el carácter de los frutos desecados.
4. La partida 08.12 comprende únicamente los frutos y nueces sometidos a tratamientos de conservación provisional (por ejemplo, con gas sulfuroso, en agua salada, sulfurosa o adicionada de otras sustancias para asegurar transitoriamente su conservación) durante el transporte o almacenamiento previo a su utilización, pero que no estén en condiciones de ser consumidos directamente en ese estado.
