Notas del Capítulo 07 (clasificación)
1. Este capítulo no comprende los forrajes de la partida 12.14.
2. En las partidas 07.09, 07.10, 07.11 y 07.12, la expresión «hortalizas (verduras)» comprende las setas y trufas comestibles, las aceitunas, las alcaparras, los pepinos para encurtir y los calabacines, las berenjenas, el maíz dulce (Zea mays var. saccharata), los pimientos, el hinojo, el perejil, el perifollo, el estragón, el berro y la mejorana.
3. La partida 07.12 comprende todas las hortalizas desecadas de las partidas 07.01 a 07.11, excepto:
a) Las legumbres secas desvainadas de la partida 07.13;
b) El maíz dulce presentado en las formas previstas en las partidas 11.02 a 11.04;
c) La harina, sémola, polvo, copos, gránulos y «pellets» de patata (papa) (partida 11.05);
d) La harina, sémola y polvo de las legumbres secas de la partida 07.13 (partida 11.06).
4. Este capítulo no comprende los pimientos picantes ni el pimiento en polvo (partida 09.04).
5. La partida 07.11 comprende únicamente las hortalizas que hayan sido sometidas a tratamientos de conservación provisional (por ejemplo, con gas sulfuroso, en agua salada, sulfurosa o adicionada de otras sustancias para asegurar transitoriamente su conservación) durante el transporte o almacenamiento previo a su utilización, pero que no estén en condiciones de ser consumidas directamente en ese estado.
La expresión «repollo (col)» del código nacional 0704.9010, cuyo nombre científico es col rizada o col de Milán (Brassica oleracea var. capitata), también conocida como repollo redondo o col blanca, pertenece a la familia Brassicaceae, género Brassica; es una variedad de la especie Brassica oleracea. De apariencia casi esférica, con cabeza bien compacta y grande, de hojas dispuestas en capas que forman un cuerpo esférico, de color verde y centro blanco o amarillo claro; la cabeza es la parte comestible.
